The making off some drones performing the building of a cake. Click here to see the result
Production : animasjonsdepartmentet / Direction : Lucas Zanotto / Drones : Tilt /
Drones Devices and Scenography : Martin Gautron
All devices are interchangeable, through a plate system that “clicks” to the belly of the drones, made out of oak and secured with zipties
The early Smarties Shooter magazine with flat piling that tends to send too many bullets in the canon at once, fixed with changing to vertical smarties, after a late session at Fellesverkstedet with Jens, laser cut acrylic sheet
Works fine but tends to jam when flying, the motion makes more than one smartie to fall in the canon, and they end up crushed by the hammer
The fine fix for the Smarties Shooter is to hold the smarties while shooting but to let them go when they are hit by the hammer. Little soft fingers made out of pet (magnet’s) packaging at the end of the magazine does it
The first whipped cream system ended up being too low when flying
Plates pulled out of an aluminium sign
The mounting plate for the Berrybardier
The Berrybardier load system to set up the tilt of the cargo
The two release systems for the biscuit grabbing and dropping
release mechanism for the Cream Dropper
First flying tests carrying the biscuit, the weight is fine (load up to 1kg) but the drone is blowing on the flat load he’s trying to lift, adding some dynamic weight to it…
The magnetic plate to grab the devices on the go
The serpentines pizza, all detached and prepared for fast reload
We had to create artificial finger soft touch for the Serpentine Drone to hold those fragile paper ribbons and let them go completely
The first cream droppers released cream through a hole in the bottom, the way a bathtub does
